The design of a building follows a process involving a number of separate stages. This process starts with preparation of a design brief. A number of meetings may be required to develop a brief depending on the nature and complexity of project.

A brief defines what your intentions and aspirations are. It includes:

  • Physical and functional requirements
  • Your ideas, lifestyle, likes/dislikes
  • Hopes and expectations; styles you like
  • Budget
  • Timeframe

Once the brief is complete we will commence design working in the following stages:
1. Sketch Design
2. Developed Design
3. Working Drawings (Contract Documentation)
4. Contract Administration

For some clients, such as schools, we offer "pre-design" services such as feasibility studies and site development planning (master plans).
